Finance up to 75% of your projects with energy optimization grants

Econology offers a turnkey solution that maximizes grants and simplifies the application process.

We accompany you in energy analysis and project implementation phases.

We have a track record of getting the estimated grants. We have helped our clients collect more than 25 M$ of grants so far.

MAIN GRANTS’ PROGRAMS & PROVIDERS

Analysis (Energy Audit / Feasibility Study):

  • Subsidizes up to 75% of the costs of an energy analysis.
  • up to a maximum amount of $100,000 per site for small/medium energy consumers and to a maximum of $300,000 per site for large energy consumers.
Project Implementation:
  • Financial assistance allocated in the implementation component ranges up to $125/ton of CO2eq saved and can reach 75% of project eligible costs.
  • The grant is equivalent to 2.36 $ per m3 of natural gas saved.
  • Up to a maximum of $10,000,000 per site.
Recommissioning (RCx):

Financial assistance corresponds to the minimum of:

  • 75% of eligible costs for investigation, transfer and followup.
  • Up to a maximum of $100,000 per site.
Analysis program (Energy audit / Feasibility Study):
  • Energir offers a grant of 50% of the costs related to an energy audit /  feasibility study, up to a maximum amount of $25,000 per account for clients on rates D1 and D3 and up to a maximum amount of $ 50,000 per account for clients on rates D4 and D5.

Implementation (of energy savings measures) program :

  • Financial assistance allocated in the implementation component ranges up to $1/m3 of natural gas saved in the first year following the implementation. The grant can go up to $100,000 for small/medium consumers and up to $175,000 for large consumers.

Efficient product program:

  • Energir pays a subsidy on the purchase of some efficient products (boilers, water heater, unit heater, radiant heating, and intelligent hood controls).

Recommissioning (RCx) program:

  • Grant of 50% of eligible costs of the investigation, transfer and continuous monitoring.
  • Grant of $0.3 /m3 saved up to 50% of eligible costs of the eligible implemented measures.
  • Up to $100,000 per site.

Renovation program

  • This grant aims to encourage renovations that will improve the thermal envelope of buildings. The goal? To make buildings more energy efficient and thus reduce energy costs. The work may include replacing windows, insulating walls and roofs, installing thermal screens for greenhouses, etc.
  • The amount of the grant is established based on your consumption and can go up to $ 40,000 if your consumption is lower than 150,000 m3/year and up to $100,000 if your consumption is higher than 150,000 m3/year.
Energy Analysis Program:
  • Receive a grant to conduct an energy analysis and find potential projects/measures involving the efficient use of electricity.
  • Subsidizes 100% of the eligible costs of the energy analysis up to $50,000 per site.
  • Grant paid in two installments: (i) First installment of 40% of eligible cost (up to $20,000) when the study is approved by Hydro-Quebec; (ii) Second installment of 60% of eligible cost (up to $30,000) following the installation of one or more energy efficient measures included in the energy analysis.
Project Implementation – Efficient Solutions Program:
  • The grant can go up to 90% of eligible costs for small businesses (Electrical Rate G)  and up to 75% of eligible costs for medium & large businesses (Electrical Rate M).
  • The grant is based on 30 cents the kWh saved and can go up to 3 $ million per project for medium and large businesses.

The Eco Leader grant program was launched in November 2019 and is aimed to subsidize studies and implementation support of eco-responsible practices OR the implementation of clean technologies. It has a budget envelop of $18.5 million.

Application to Eco Leader fund can be done in two ways:

  • A grant application by company/building: submitted by a company that wishes to carry out a project that meets its specific needs. Grant can go up to $ 30,000 per application.
  • A grant application for a group of companies/buildings (cohort of companies): this program is best suited for owners/managers of a portfolio of buildings. Grant can go up to $ 300,000 per application for the support in implementation of eco-responsible practices and up to $ 500,000 for the support in acquisition of clean technologies.

On May 21st 2022, the program stopped receiving new applications in order to process received applications.
